New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday released the revised scorecard for the NEET UG 2024 exam, following a Supreme Court directive regarding an ambiguous Physics question. This recalibration impacts the merit list, reducing the number of top scorers significantly.
On July 23, the Supreme Court mandated the NTA to adjust the NEET UG 2024 scores based on an IIT-Delhi expert committee’s recommendation, which identified only one correct answer for a disputed Physics question.
The initial results, released on June 4, had 67 students sharing the top rank. Post-adjustment, the number of top scorers has dropped from 61 to approximately 17, affecting around 4.2 lakh students.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on July 23 that the revised results would be available within two days, and they have now been released.

What Did Supreme Court Say?
The Supreme Court confirmed NEET UG 2024 paper leaks in Patna and Hazaribagh.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will continue its probe into these leaks.
Despite these issues, the court allowed the counseling and admission processes to proceed, with guidelines to prevent future occurrences.
