NTPC’s Railway Track Blown Up in Jharkhand

Ranchi: A portion of a railway track operated by NTPC was blown up by miscreants in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district. Around 4.7 meter of the track was blown up in the explosion.

According to police sources, miscreants targeted the railway track near Ranga village under the Barhet police station at around midnight. Criminal gangs are suspected to be involved in the incident.

The damaged railway line is not part of the Indian Railway network. It is operated by the NTPC for transporting coal from Godda’s Lalmatia to its thermal power plant in Farakka in West Bengal.
