Odisha CM Majhi ‘Shocked’ by Administrative Lapses, Hints at Major Bureaucratic Overhaul

Bhubaneswar: The newly elected Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has expressed deep concern over the state’s administrative inefficiencies. A recent review meeting unveiled several troubling issues, including the rehiring of retired officers in various departments and a lack of clear accountability.

Chief Minister Majhi discovered that the administrative and management responsibilities had been outsourced, leading to a concentration of power within a select group. The Chief Minister’s Office was found to be non-functional, exacerbating the administrative chaos.

During the review, no officials could provide satisfactory explanations to Majhi regarding the state’s administrative lapses. Frustrated by the inefficiency, the Chief Minister demanded immediate clarifications and reprimanded the officials involved.

In response to these issues, speculation is rife about an impending major bureaucratic reshuffle aimed at restoring order and efficiency within Odisha’s administration.
