Odisha Govt to Investigate VK Pandian’s ‘Anti-People’ Activities: BJP’s Jayanarayan Mishra

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader Jayanarayan Mishra on Tuesday declared that the Odisha government will launch an investigation into the alleged anti-people activities of V K Pandian, a former bureaucrat and leader of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD).

Addressing the media in Bhubaneswar, Mishra accused Pandian of engaging in actions detrimental to state interests for personal gain, emphasizing that necessary measures will be taken against him.

When questioned about the evidence against Pandian, Mishra stated that the investigating agency would be tasked with gathering the necessary proof. He noted that much of the evidence is already publicly accessible, minimizing the need for concern about its availability.

Regarding the potential involvement of former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Mishra suggested that since Pandian acted under Patnaik’s direction, the BJD president might also be subject to investigation.

Commenting on the 5T initiative, led by Pandian, Mishra remarked that while it is a standard aspect of governance, the BJP would not engage in propaganda or allocate funds for its promotion.
