Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced two pivotal appointments within the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) to enhance its management structure.
According to an official notification, OAS officer Debabrata Sahoo, currently the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Ganjam, has been appointed as the Administrator (Development) of SJTA, Puri.
Additionally, OAS officer Dipti Ranjan Sethi, who serves as the Sub-Collector of Khordha, has been named Deputy Administrator (Revenue) of SJTA, Puri. Sethi will also manage the deities’ land properties in the Khordha district alongside his current responsibilities.
These appointments follow SJTA’s recent action of issuing show-cause notices to 19 leaseholders of temple-owned stone quarries in Khordha for over-extraction. The leaseholders have been instructed to clear royalties, incidental charges and penalties within a week.
