Odisha Police Shakeup: B Radhika Heads Recruitment, Shyni Takes Dual Charge, Singh Juggles Roles

Bhubaneswar: In a cadre reshuffle within the IPS ranks, the Odisha Government has appointed B. Radhika as the Chairman of the Police Recruitment Board, with an additional responsibility as the Director of the State Forensic Science Institute (SFSI). A senior IPS Officer from the 1989 batch, Radhika assumed her new role following her return from a central deputation. Notably, she had previously received a proforma promotion to the rank of Director General (DG) in the Odisha Police while serving as the Additional Director General (ADG) of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Simultaneously, IPS Officer Shyni S, presently holding the position of Inspector General of Police (IGP) in Training at the Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA), has been assigned an additional charge as the Inspector General of Police for Crime Against Women (IGPCAW) & Child Welfare (CW).

Another significant change involves IPS Officer Ashish Kumar Singh, the current IGP of the Central Range with an additional responsibility as the Director of SFSI. Singh has now been entrusted with the additional role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC), reporting directly to the CMD of OPHWC.
