Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will spend Rs 481.94 crore for the implementation of the “Intensive Agriculture Programme Including Revival and Sustainable Intensification of Forgotten Crops under Crop Diversification Programme” scheme for the coming five years.
This scheme includes a new initiative “Mukhyamantri Maka Mission (MMM)”.
The scheme will be implemented to increase the area, production, and productivity of Pulses, Oilseeds, Fibre crops (Cotton and Jute) and maize.
Through it Farmers’ Producers’ Organization, WSHG, and FIGs for aggregation, marketing, and seed rerolling will be enhanced in the State.
The potential of the State under Agriculture and Allied Sectors shall be exploited through this scheme through the modernization of the traditional agriculture sector.
