Ollywood Film Producer Niranjan Rana Arrested for Conning People

Bhubaneswar: Odia film producer Niranjan Rana was arrested by the police on Thursday for allegedly cheating several people through false promise of providing land in Bhubaneswar.

He was arrested by the personnel of the Balianta police station when he returned from Mumbai. The police also seized his luxury car.

Rana is known for his high budget Odia films like Hari Bhai Harena, Je Panche Para Manda, Rakate Lekhichi Naa, Target, and Pahili Raja.

A total of 21 cases have been pending against Rana at the Balianta and Saheed Nagar police stations. Seven non-bailable warrants (NBWs) were issued against him and his accomplices in land fraud scam.
