Bhubaneswar: An Online Academic Support Programme for the students of higher secondary schools in the state was launched by Odisha’s Minister of School and Mass Education Nityananda Gond on Thursday.
Around 82,700 students admitted to higher secondary classes in 2024-25 academic year, are included in this online program. The students, who have passed Class XII and are preparing for various entrance tests like IPMAT/JIPMAT, CUET, CLAT, NDA, NIFT can avail this online program free of cost.
Subjects including English, General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude will be covered under the programme.
The online classes will run Monday to Thursday from 2 pm to 3.30 pm. The examination through OMR sheet or computer will be conducted on Fridays at an interval of 15 days. The marks of this examination will be uploaded on the SAMS portal.
The principals of government and government aided private higher secondary schools will update the attendance of the students and contact information of all students joining this class directly on the SAMS portal. The principals will give the names and numbers of the nodal officers and mentor teachers for this programme.
Addressing the students who joined the programme virtually, Gond said, it would be of great help to all students, especially those studying in remote areas, to succeed in competitive examinations, entrance examinations for higher studies.
