Orissa High Court’s Summer Vacation: Closure and Vacation Bench Hearing Dates Announced

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court in Cuttack has announced its closure for the summer vacation period, starting from May 22 until June 20. According to an official notification issued by the court, regular operations will resume on June 21.

However, to address urgent matters, special vacation benches will be in session on specific dates, including May 23, May 25, May 30, June 1, June 6, June 8, June 12, and June 13.

During the vacation period, a two-member bench comprising Justice KR Mohapatra and Justice MS Sahoo, along with single-judge benches featuring Justice V. Narasingh and Justice Chittaranjan Dash, will handle cases on May 23 and 25.

Likewise, on May 30, a two-member bench consisting of Justice KR Mohapatra and Justice MS Sahoo, along with single-judge benches comprising Justice V. Narasingh and Justice Gourishankar Satapathy, will preside over hearings.

Furthermore, on June 1, a two-member bench of Justice SK Sahoo and Justice MS Raman, along with single-judge benches featuring Justice BP Routray and Justice Gourishankar Satapathy, will address urgent matters.

On June 6 and 8, urgent cases will be heard by a two-member bench comprising Justice SK Sahoo and Justice MS Raman, as well as single-judge benches consisting of Justice Sashikanta Mishra and Justice BP Satapathy.

Finally, on June 12 and 13, a two-member bench of Justice Sashikanta Mishra and Justice SK Mishra, alongside single-judge benches featuring Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra and Justice BP Satapathy, will handle urgent cases, as stated in the notification.
