Pistol Illegally Used by Puja Khedkar’s Mother Seized by Police

Mumbai: Pune Police has seized a pistol and three bullets from the house of Manorama Khedkar, mother of controversial probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar. She used the pistol to allegedly threaten some Maharashtra farmers.

Manorama Khedkar was arrested from Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Thursday. In a viral video, she is seen threatening some villagers with this pistol.

Manorama Khedkar faces multiple charges, including attempt to murder.

Manorama’s 34-year-old daughter Puja Khedkar, a 2023-batch trainee IAS officer is also into controversies. Pune collector Suhas Diwase wrote to Maharashtra Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, flagging several demands that the trainee IAS officer was not entitled to during her probation.

Shocking revelations have raised questions over how she cleared UPSC selection process. She availed relaxation for physical disability and OBC candidacy. It is alleged that she is not eligible for such relaxations.

Now her two-year training has been put on hold. Her selection into the IAS is being investigated by a committee formed by the Centre.
