Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Singapore on Thursday, interacted with students from Odisha’s World Skill Centre who are undergoing training at AEM Holdings, a leading company in the semiconductor and electronics sector. The students are participating in an internship programme in Singapore.
As per the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Pm Modi also engaged with Singaporean interns who had visited India under the ‘CII-Enterprise Singapore India Ready Talent Programme,’ as well as Indian engineers working at the AEM facility. Sharing the experience on social media, the Prime Minister tweeted, “It was wonderful to interact with interns from Odisha’s World Skill Center who are visiting Singapore.”

PM Modi’s two-day visit to Singapore is aimed at enhancing the strategic partnership between India and Singapore. During his fifth official trip to the country, he discussed collaboration opportunities in the semiconductor sector, aligning with India’s efforts to develop a robust semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.
PM Modi also extended an invitation to Singaporean semiconductor firms to attend the ‘SEMICON INDIA’ exhibition, scheduled to take place in Greater Noida from September 11 to 13.
