PM Modi Launches ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’. This program is aimed at reaching out to citizens who have not benefitted from various central schemes despite being eligible for them.

Using specially designed Information, Education and Communication (IEC) vans, ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ would cover 2.7 lakh gram panchayats and around 15,000 urban locations. At all these places, ground-level activities would take place using the IEC vans.

The Prime Minister flagged off five specially designed vans from Khunti in Jharkhand to mark the launch of the yatra. Similar vans were flagged off from other tribal dominated districts across the country.

This campaign to reach out to beneficiaries of the Centre’s flagship programmes will end on January 25, 2024.
