PM Launched ‘Operation Jhaadu’ To Finish AAP, Alleges Kejriwal As Party Marches to BJP HQ

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday accused the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of instigating ‘Operation Jhaadu’ to arrest and jail key AAP figures.

Kejriwal addressed party members, asserting that the BJP’s aim with ‘Operation Jhaadu’ is to hinder AAP’s growth and prevent it from posing a challenge. He warned that prominent AAP leaders could face arrest and predicted that the party’s bank accounts might be frozen in the future.

Tensions escalated as AAP activists attempted to march towards the BJP office in Delhi, resulting in police detentions. Security was heightened at the BJP office following Kejriwal’s call for the protest amid ongoing disputes between AAP and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal regarding an alleged assault incident inside the CM’s residence.

Delhi Police revealed that AAP had not obtained permission for the protest and Section 144 was imposed in the area surrounding the BJP office. Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Kejriwal arrested in connection with an assault case, is anticipated to revisit the crime scene at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Kumar was remanded to five-day police custody by the Tis Hazari Court after his arrest, with the police seeking interrogation and data retrieval from his phone.

Kejriwal, currently on interim bail, vowed to lead AAP members to the BJP office in defiance, challenging PM Modi to imprison whomever he desires.
