Prajwal Revanna Apologizes to Parents; Promises to Appear Before SIT on May 31

New Delhi: Prajwal Revanna, the JDS MP from Karnataka, who escaped to Germany, after he got entangled in a horrific sex scandal following allegations by women that he forced them into sexual acts that were then filmed, in a video message on Monday afternoon, apologized to his parents.

In the video statement, he claimed that he is suffering from “depression”.

“I apologise to my parents… I was in depression. I will come (back to India) and appear before the SIT (a special investigative team set up by the state government) on May 31 (Friday),” Revanna said in the video statement, reported NDTV.

Revanna is the grandson of JDS party patriarch and ex-Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. He is the nephew of ex-Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.

He is the sitting MP from Karnataka’s Hassan Lok Sabha seat. He contested from the same seat in the 2024 general election as part of the alliance of the JDS with the BJP.
