Prez Murmu Reaches Suriname on Her Maiden Foreign Visit

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu reached in Suriname on her first state visit to the South American nation. “In a special gesture, President @CSantokhi of Suriname received the President at the airport with full state honours,” Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a tweet.

President Murmu will be in Suriname from June 4 to 6. She will hold talks with leaders of Suriname and meet the Indian Diaspora in the capital city Paramaribo. She will hold bilateral discussions with Surinamese counterpart Chandrikapersad Santokhi.

From Suriname, President Murmu will leave for Serbia on June 7 at the invitation of President Aleksandar Vucic.
