Pune Porsche Crash: Accused Teen Submits 300-Word Essay On Road Safety As Bail Condition

Pune: The 17-year-old boy involved in the Porsche crash in Pune that claimed the lives of two techies has complied with his bail conditions by submitting a 300-word essay on road safety to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), an official stated on Friday.

As per reports, the teenager turned in his essay to the JJB on Wednesday.

He was released from an observation home following a Bombay High Court decision that ruled his detention illegal.

The crash occurred on May 19 in Kalyani Nagar, resulting in the deaths of two software engineers. Police allege the teen was driving under the influence when the collision happened.

In a related development, the teen’s father and grandfather, arrested for allegedly attempting to frame their driver for the accident, have been granted bail by a Pune court. The father remains in custody due to a separate case.

Authorities are investigating multiple angles, including alleged attempts to cover up the incident and swap blood samples. The case has sparked nationwide debate on juvenile justice, road safety, and the influence of wealthy families in legal proceedings.
