Double Olympic medallist P V Sindhu on Saturday reached the women’s singles finals of the Malaysia Masters Tournament with a win over Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan in Kuala Lumpur.
Fifth seed Sindhu, defeated world number 20 Busanan in a 88 minute long marathon semifinal.
Sindhu had won the 2022 Singapore Open and finished runner-up at Madrid Spain Masters last year.
World No. 15 Sindhu, who is aspiring for her third Olympic medal at the Paris Games, will face second seed and world no. 7 Wang Zhi Yi of China in the title match.
