Rath Yatra Celebrated Throughout World, Take A Look

Puri: Sri Jagannath’s Rath Yatra is celebrated every year in a grand way in Puri every year. Hindus and devotees of Lord Jagannath also observe Rath Yatra in different parts of the world.

According to reports Rath Yatra of Lord Jagananth is observed in more than 200 cities around the globe.

In North Carolina, USA, the Jagannath Committee of the Hindu Society of North Carolina (HSNC) celebrates the Rath Yatra every year with religious fervor. They drag a 26-foot tall and 13-foot wide Rath, which is one of the largest chariots in the Americas. This Rath resembles the majestic Nandighosa chariot of Lord Jagananth in Puri.

Devotees observe Rath Yatra in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA, a day after the festival is observed in Puri and other parts of India. The organisers also hold cultural events featuring performances by local devotees and serve traditional Odia prasad.

In Paris of France, Rath Yatra is celebrated through a vibrant four-hour procession through the streets of Paris. At the culmination point, various Indian art forms, dances, and devotional music are showcased.

In Rome, devotees drag a large wooden chariot of Lord Jagannath on the streets. Rath Yatra is being celebrated in Rome since 2015.

In Pakistan’s Karachi, Rath Yatra is observed at the Swami Narayan Temple. Thousands of Hindus of Pakistan attend this Rath Yatra.
