Will Replace BSKY Scheme with Ayushman Bharat in Odisha: Manmohan Samal

Bhubaneswar: In a landslide victory in the state Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 78 out of 147 seats.

Following this triumph, state BJP president Manmohan Samal announced plans to introduce the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha, promising enhanced healthcare benefits for its residents.

Speaking to the media, Samal stated, “Health cards will undergo a transformation soon. The BJP plans to roll out the Ayushman Bharat scheme for the people of Odisha, including 1.5 lakh Odia individuals residing outside the state.”

He highlighted the limitations of the existing Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) and emphasised the broader scope of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

Samal assured that the scheme would be implemented post the new government’s oath-taking ceremony.

Under the provision, common citizens will be eligible to receive 100% of Rs 5 lakh without any treatment limitations.
