Roof of Newly Renovated Dumna Airport in Jabalpur Collapses Facing First Rains

Jabalpur: Roof of the newly-rejuvenated Dumna Airport in Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh collapsed on a car on Thursday.

This roof of the Dumna Airport in Jabalpur was renovated at a cost of around Rs 450 crore and was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on March 10, 2024. It could not last the first rain.

A major portion of the tensile roof collapsed on a car after water accumulated over it. The broken part fell on the car of an Income Tax official. The car was badly damaged. Luckily no one was inside the car.

Airport Director Rajiv Ratna Pandey ordered an inquiry into the incident.
