‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’ to Change Its Name Before IPL 2024

Bengaluru: Before the start of the IPL 2024, the Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to change its name.

As per a video shared by the franchise on social media, the team management is planning to get rid of the word ‘Bangalore’ from the name of the franchise.

It is likely that the ‘Bangalore’ will be replaced by ‘Bengaluru’ in the name of the franchise to match with the city’s new name.

In 2014, the name of Bangalore was changed to Bengaluru, but the RCB did not change the name it used since 2008.

In the past, Punjab Kings has changed its name. It was earlier known as Kings XI Punjab. Delhi Capitals was earlier known as the Delhi Daredevils.
