Mumbai: RPF constable Chetansinh Chaudhary, who shot dead an RPF ASI and three passengers in a moving train in July was dismissed from service.
He was removed from service through an order issued on Monday by Railway Protection Force (RPF) senior divisional security commissioner.
The 34-year-old RPF constable gunned down his senior officer, Tikaram Meena, and three passengers on board the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express near Palghar station on the outskirts of Mumbai in the early hours of July 31.
The civilian victims were Abdul Kadar Mohamed Hussain Bhanpurawala, Sayyad Saifuddin, and Asgar Abbas Shaikh.
Chaudhary first shot dead RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector and a passenger in B5 coach with his service weapon. He shot dead another passenger in the pantry car and one more in S6 coach of the train. Chaudhary is now in judicial custody.
