Sanatana is Like AIDS, Leprosy, DMK’s A Raja Takes Controversy to New Height

New Delhi: DMK’s A Raja on Thursday added more fire to the ‘Sanatana Dharma’ controversy by comparing it with diseases like leprosy and AIDS.

Former Union minister A Raja on Thursday said that ‘Sanatana Dharma’ should be compared with diseases that have social stigma attached to them — like AIDS and leprosy, reported India Today.

Raja’s statement came in defense of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s controversial statement that likened the ‘Sanatana Dharma’ to dengue and malaria, adding that such things need to be eradicated.

Raja further said, “Udhayanidhi’s take on Sanatana dharma was soft.”

Earlier this month, Udhayanidhi Stalin alleged Sanatana Dharma is against equality and social justice and said it should be eradicated. Sanatana divided people on the basis of caste, he alleged.
