Sex Crime Accused Prajwal Revanna Leads in Karnataka’s Hassan

Bengaluru: Despite the video clips in which Prajwal Revanna is allegedly seen sexually assaulting several women he is leading in the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka,

Prajwal Revanna is the sitting MP from Hassan. As of 11 am, the JDS MP was ahead of his closest competitor, Shreyas Patel of the Congress, by around 4,700 votes. He had won the constituency with a margin of over 1.4 lakh in 2019.

Prajwal Revanna is the grandson of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda and nephew of former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.

The videos began to appear on April 23, three days before polling in the Hassan constituency. He escaped to Germany on April 27, a day after the voting in his constituency.

A Special Investigation Team is investigating the case. The JDS leader was arrested on May 31 after he returned to India.
