Similipal Tiger Reserve Closed for Visitors from June 12 Till September End

Baripada: The Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) will remain closed for visitors from June 12, 2024, till the end of SeptemberSeptember 30, announced its authorities on Friday.

Every year the Similipal Tiger Reserve remains closed to visitors for a period of four months during the monsoon season.

The Tiger Reserve will be out of bounds for tourists/ visitors tentatively till September 30. The exact date of its reopening will be notified and published in newspapers.

But the eco-tourism complex- Jamuani, Gurudia, Kumari, Barehipani and Ramtirtha will remain open for the visitors.

Usually during the rainy season, the pathways of the sanctuary are washed away and remain in a dangerous condition. So this temporary closure is done every year for the safety of the tourists.
