Singer Gurdas Maan Cancels Canada Shows Amid Diplomatic Tension Between India & Canada

New Delhi: While diplomatic tension continues between India and Canada, renowned Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan has cancelled all his shows in Canada scheduled from October 22 to October 31.

All tickets for Gurdas Maan shows in Canada named ‘Akhiyaan Udeekdiyan’ were sold out. But because of the strained relations between the two countries, Maan preferred to cancel his Canada tour. Through his production house, Maan said his decision was the “most responsible and necessary course of action for the time being”.

The production house announced the cancellation through a Facebook post stating, “In light of the current diplomatic unrest between the two countries and after careful consideration and assessment of the unpredictable circumstances, it has been determined that the cancellation of the event is the most responsible and necessary course of action for the time being.”
