Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk along with over 100 Ladakhis was detained again by the police a few hours after they were released by the Delhi Police late Tuesday night.
Wangchuk and his supporters started an indefinite fast at the police stations where they are detained.
Wangchuk and his supporters were detained again after being released on Tuesday night as they were adamant to march towards the central part of Delhi.
Wangchuk has been detained at the Bawana police station along with a few others. His supporters are kept at Narela Industrial Area, Alipur and Kanjhawala police stations.
On Monday night, Wangchuk and those accompanying him were detained by the Delhi Police at the Singhu border for violating prohibitory orders when they tried to enter the national capital.
He is leading the ‘Delhi Chalo Padyatra’, which began from Leh a month ago by the Leh Apex Body, which along with the Kargil Democratic Alliance, has been pressing for statehood for Ladakh, its inclusion in the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution and other demands.
