Speeding Car Crushes Man to Death in Balasore District

Balasore: A man died when he was hit by a speeding car near Balichanda Ghat in Anantpur Panchyat under Soro police station limits in Odisha’s Balasore district on Thursday morning.

According to reports, the deceased met with the accident while returning home after delivering gifts to his daughter for the Sabitri vrat.

The deceased was identified as Sunil Barik from Balimed village under the Basudebpur block of Bhadrak district.

Locals rushed the seriously injured Sunil to the Anantapur Community Health Centre (CHC), but the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police officials seized the body and sent it for postmortem. An investigation has been started into the incident.
