Sura Routaray’s Son Manmath Suspended from Congress, Know Why

Bhubaneswar: Congress MLA Suresh Kumar Routray’s son Manmath Routray was suspended from the party on Friday for alleged “indiscipline”.

The Discipline Action Committee of the Odisha Congress took this decision as Manmath did not reply to a show cause notice served to him. This show cause notice was served to him in regard to his recent media statement.  in the media.

According to reports, although a PCC member, Manmath had told the media that he had no link with any political party.

“Though you are a PCC member, you have particularly said that you don’t belong to Indian National Congress. You have also said that you are free to visit BJP office and BJD office. You were served a show cause notice yesterday, but you did not respond to it,” the OPCC’s suspension order stated.

In recent past Manmath has declared that he will not fight the 2024 election from his father’s Assembly Constituency Jatni on Congress ticket. He has announced that he may contest the election from any other party.

Sura Routray had announced that he would not contest in 2024 and his younger son Manmath would fight the Assembly election on a Congress ticket from his constituency.
