Tea-Stalls, Paan Shops, Dhabas, Hotels to Close by 8.30 PM In Ganjam Till June 4

Chatrapur: To put a check on poll-related violence, Ganjam police has ordered hotels, dhabas, paan shops and tea kiosks to pull down their shutters by 8.30 pm till June 4.

The political gossip among the gathered people at these points usually turns violent during election time.  So, Ganjam Superintendent Police (SP) Jagmohan Meena has directed the inspectors in-charge of the police stations to ensure the closure of hotels, dhabas, paan shops and tea stalls by 8.30 pm in their respective areas till June 4 as part of law and order maintenance.

The Ganjam SP told the media Jagmohan Meena said, “We have appealed to the owners of tea stalls, eateries, dhabas and hotels to close their outlets by 8.30 pm to prevent violence in the post-poll period as a precautionary measure to prevent political clashes between the supporters of rival parties.”
