Puri: Parimanik darshan or the ticketed darshan of the deities of Puri Srimandir will be resumed in near future.
Parimanik darshan was discontinued at Srimandir in 2016 following the ban on entry of devotees to the sanctum sanctorum.
The decision to reintroduce Parimanik darshan was taken at a financial sub-committee meeting of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Thursday. According to the chief administrator of SJTA Ranjan Kumar Das, a standard operating procedure (SOP) will be prepared prior to introducing Paramanik darshan of the deities.
It was also decided to install donation boxes at four locations on the temple premises near the Maha Laxmi temple.
The SJTA has also agreed to have television sets in all rooms of Neelachal Niwas, Niladri Niwas, Gundicha Niwas and Purushottam Niwas.
