Two Cousins from Andhra Drown in Puri’s Narendra Pushkarani

Puri: Two youths from Andhra Pradesh drowned while bathing in the Narendra Pushkarani in Puri. Fire Brigade personnel recovered the bodies of these two youths hailing Ichhapuram in Andhra Pradesh.

The deceased have been identified as Rajakiran Satpathy of Kukudakhandi and Nalinikant Tripathy of Ichhapuram. They were cousins. They were in Puri to attend the tenth-day funeral rituals of a relative. They met the mishap while taking baths in the water body as part of the ritual.

Seeing them drowning, the relatives of Rajakiran and Nalinikant called up the fire brigade. The fire officials rushed to the spot and fished out the two from the water. They were rushed to the Puri District headquarters hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
