Vande Bharat Sleeper & Vande Bharat Metro Trains in 2024

New Delhi: The Indian Railways is all set to introduce the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express train and Vande Metro in 2024.

The sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express is for long-distance travel at around 200 Km per hour. The Vande Bharat sleeper trains will run on Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata routes.

Vande Bharat Metro with 12 coaches will facilitate short-distance travel for commuters.

The first sleeper coaches of the Vande Bharat Express train will be rolled out in March 2024 while Vande Metro is expected to start operating by January next year.

Both new types of Vande Bharat Express trains are being developed by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) of Indian Railways in Chennai.
