Vigilance Raids at Farmhouse, Multi-Storied Buildings of ‘Crorepati’ Forest Ranger

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officials on Thursday took up simultaneous raids at eight places linked to Bibhudananda Mishra, Forest Range Officer, Dhenkanal Range, alleged of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The properties of Mishra and his relatives located in Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar were searched by vigilance teams comprising seven DSPs, one assistant commandant, six Inspectors, six ASIs and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.

The officer attempted to conceal cash at all probable locations and two bundles were retrieved from the toilet flush tank, a Vigilance release said.

Search operations are underway at:

  1. Three-storey building at Ratna Bazar, Dhenkanal
  2. Two storey building at Ratna Bazar, Dhenkanal
  3. E C Broiler farm (Mishra Farmhouse) located at Rahangol, Athagarh in Cuttack
  4. Flat at Brinda Basera, GGP Colony, Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar
  5. Paternal house at Birakishorepur, Athagarh in Cuttack
  6. House of his relative located at Dhenkanal
  7. Office chamber at Dhenkanal
  8. Residential Govt Quarter at Dhenkanal
