Bhubaneswar: Special Secretary of Odisha Finance Department, Sujata R. Karthikeyan, has been granted a six-month leave, effective from May 31, 2024, to November 26, 2024.

The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued an office order on June 5, 2024, announcing this development, following a previous order from May 10, 2024.

“In continuation to GA & PG Department office order No.13535/AlS.l dtd. 10.05.2024, Smt. Sujata R. The leave, under Rule 18-D of AIS (Leave) Rules, 1955, is for child care purposes, specifically to attend to her minor daughter’s 10th-grade examinations. The leave will not impact her leave account, and she will receive her regular salary during this period.

Meanwhile, concerns have arisen regarding Sujata R. Karthikeyan’s husband, VK Pandian, who resigned from administrative service to join the BJD and manage the party’s election campaign. Pandian has reportedly been unreachable since the BJD’s recent electoral setback.
