Father of Minor Wrestler Recants Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Brij Bhushan Singh

New Delhi: The sexual harassment allegations against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the outgoing chief of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), have taken a new turn. The father of the minor wrestler, on whose complaint a case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, has stated that Singh did not sexually harass his daughter but discriminated against her.

The father claimed that the accusations were made out of anger and that some of the claims were false.

He clarified that Singh’s behaviour was biased and partial towards his daughter.

The wrestlers, who were protesting against Singh, have temporarily halted their agitation after the government assured them that a chargesheet would be filed against him.

The Delhi Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) is expected to submit its investigation report in court by next week. Singh has denied all allegations and stated that he is being framed.
