WhatsApp Down For Users Around The Globe!

Popular messaging service WhatsApp owned by Meta is reportedly facing an issue right now. Many users around the globe took to Twitter to complain regarding disruption in sending and receiving texts.

Outage monitoring service DownDetector reveals that thousands of customers are experiencing problems with WhatsApp. According to the website’s heat map, affected areas include important cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Lucknow, but we worry that consumers worldwide are being impacted.

We can confirm that WhatsApp’s web client is also impacted. An error message similar to the one below is being displayed to anyone attempting to use WhatsApp Web.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has acknowledged the said outage and is working on getting the platform back online as soon as possible, a statement read.

Reacting to the mass outage a Meta company spokesperson said, “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible”.
