Wild Elephants Kill 2, Injure 3 in Separate Attacks In Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: Two persons died in separate wild elephant attacks while three others were seriously injured in Mayurbhanj district.

A stray wild elephant trampled a person to death at Paktia Sonpuria village under Shulingpada police station limits. The deceased was identified as Raghunath Hembram of Paktia Sonpuria village. Two others, Luski Soren of Pokharia village and Sarveswar Singh of Tadki village were injured in this elephant attack.

In the other incident, a woman identified as Sakra of Ulidihi village under the Morada police station limits died when she faced an attack by a wild tusker. The same elephant also attacked and injured Suga Mahant of adjoining Anua village.
