Woman Faked Her Own Kidnap With Help of Her Lover in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Investigation by the Commissionerate of Police has proved that the recent alleged kidnap of a woman was faked by her and her lover.

Earlier it was reported that this woman, who was staying with her parents in a posh apartment in Gothapatna area under the Chandaka police station was allegedly abducted and the kidnappers were allegedly asking for Rs 1 crore as ransom.

Police investigation has revealed that the after getting separated from her husband, this woman fell in love with a man from Rajasthan. She faked her abduction as her relationship with the Rajasthan man was opposed by her parents.

The police have concluded that the woman and her lover staged the entire incident of kidnapping. Both the woman and her lover are in police custody.

On Thursday, the woman’s father had registered and complaint at the Chandaka Police Station stating that his daughter was kidnapped and the abductors were demanding Rs 1 crore as ransom to release her.

The woman was earlier married to man who serves in America. They were separated two years back.
