Woman Murdered by Nephew in Sundargarh District

Rourkela: A woman was allegedly murdered by her nephew in a gruesome manner over past enmity at the Asura Khol village under Gurundia police station limits in Sundargarh district.

The deceased identified as Padma Mirdha was killed by the accused Rajesh Mirdha.

According to reports, Rajesh attacked Padma while she going to have her bath. Initially, Rajesh thrashed her with a stick. When she fell down, Rajesh hit her with a stone and she died on the spot.

Receiving information about the incident, the police personnel rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. The body was seized and sent for post-mortem.
