Woman Succumbs to Wasp Attack in Kakatpur

Puri: A woman died when a swarm of wasps stung her at the Jaleswarpada village under the Kakatpur police station limits in Puri district on Friday night.

The deceased identified as Draupadi Mohanty was breaking a wasp nest in the backyard of her house when the wasps attacked her.

The seriously injured woman was to the Bangurigaon Community Health Centre by her family members. She was discharged from the hospital after initial treatment.

But her condition deteriorated at late night and she was again taken to the CHC where she unfortunately succumbed to the wasp stings while undergoing treatment.
