Youth Hacked To Death in Puri Town

Puri: A youth was hacked to death by unidentified assailants at Hadgodia Sahi in Puri Town police station limits on Thursday night.

It is suspected that the deceased identified as Dinesh Kumar Khuntia of the same locality faced the lethal attack due to past enmity.

It is alleged that five youths called Dinesh out of his house and attacked him with sharp weapons. When the profusely bleeding victim fell to the ground, the attackers escaped from the spot.

Although Dinesh was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

On being informed, police personnel reached the crime scene and launched a probe. According to police, the attack was over a past enmity.

Police teams are raiding different places in Puri to nab the persons involved in the murder.

Three persons including a minor have been detained for investigation.
