DGCA’s new rule: These people can no longer travel by air

DGCA has issued a new directive regarding air travel. According to this directive, certain people will no longer be able to travel by air. Major changes have been made in air travel rules by DGCA. Now, under the new order, airlines will not decide whether a transgender person is fit to fly, but rather a doctor.

In the new rule, the DGCA has said, “Airline companies will not decide whether a transgender person is fit to travel by air, but a doctor will decide it.” If a doctor declares a passenger unfit to fly, that passenger cannot travel. This means that now airlines cannot stop a passenger from traveling without a doctor’s approval. There have been several incidents where passengers have been mistreated by airlines and denied boarding.

This decision was taken given the incident when the airline company at Ranchi airport did not allow a disabled child to board the flight. When the truth of this incident came to light, it was also protested. Later, DGCA imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on Indigo’s actions. Later this order was issued by DGCA.
