Mumbai: The Hollywood movie ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ in its opening weekend overshadowed Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Crew’.

As per data-tracking platform Sacnilk, in the debut weekend, the Hollywood fantasy adventure netted an impressive Rs 39 crore. The women-led heist comedy ‘Crew’ in comparison earned Rs 29 crore nett in its opening weekend,.

‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ started with a roar with Rs 13.25 crore collection on its opening day. The monsterverse movie is continuing to attract the audience. Directed by Adam Wingard, ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’ also was the top-grossing film in the United States over the weekend, amassing an estimated collection of USD 80 million.

Rajesh A Krishnan’s Crew started with a collection of Rs 9.25 crore nett on Friday. It wrapped up the weekend with Rs 10.5 crore nett on Sunday, taking its total domestic collection to Rs 29.5 crore. Its global earnings stand at Rs 62.5 crore.
