Kerala Garments Firm Stops Uniform Supply to Israeli Police Morally Disagreeing With Bombing & Killing
New Delhi: A Kerala-based garments company which was to supply around 1 lakh uniforms to the Israeli police, has decided not accept orders from Israel till peace is restored in the region.
The company stated that the reason behind its decision to suspend supply is that it “morally disagreed with the approach of bombing and killing innocent people, including hospitals”.
But the firm has decided to fulfil all previous commitments made to the Israeli police force.
The Kannur-based firm is owned by Malayali Thomas Olickal. It is supplying uniforms to the Israeli police since 2015.
This firm also supplies uniforms to the Philippine Army, Qatar Air Force, Qatar Police, and British-American security companies.
