‘Stree 2’ Becomes First Hindi Film to Cross Rs 600 Cr Mark at Domestic Box Office

Mumbai: ‘Stree 2’ starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor created history by becoming the first Hindi film to to cross the Rs 600-crore mark at the domestic box office.

This horror-comedy directed by Amar Kaushik has already earned Rs 604.22 crore nett so far.

In 2023, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan raked in Rs 582 crore nett from its Hindi version alone. It collected Rs 643 crore nett including earnings from its Tamil and Telugu-dubbed versions.

Jawan remains the highest-grossing Bollywood film at the all-India level.

But as per only Hindi-language version, Stree 2 has surpassed Jawan to reach the top spot.

Stree 2 kicked off its box office run on August 15.

Also starring Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee and Pankaj Tripathi, Stree 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree.
