2 Teen Girls Raped by 6 Men Including 3 Minors in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: Six men including three minors were arrested for raping two minor girls in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district.

The victims are aged 13 and 17.

The incident came to the fore when the 17-year-old girl, who is an orphan, became pregnant and informed her relatives.

The 17-year-old girl was living with her aunt after the death of her parents. While searching for a job she came in contact with a 15-year-old boy, who took her to two of his friends, who allegedly raped her multiple times since January 2024.

In one such instance, the victim was accompanied by a 13-year-old girl, who was also raped by the accused persons.

When the 17-year-old found that she was pregnant, she informed her aunt, who approached filed a complaint at the Udumalaipettai police station.

Police registered a case against Jeya Kaleeswaran, Mathan Kumar, Barani Kumar and three other minor boys under the POCSO Act and nabbed them for prosecution.
