Patna: Three inebriated policemen including a sub-inspector were arrested from the Sonhan police station in Kaimur district of Bihar.
The police station was raided when a complaint was received by the SP office that a liquor party was going on inside the police station on Saturday.
The police team found sub inspector Rajeev Ranjan and two chowkidars Chandrajeet and Amrendra Kumar in an inebriated condition in the Sonhan police station. Another private person, Sonu Kumar was also found to be drunk on the spot. All four were immediately taken into custody. Their urine and blood samples have been sent for examination.
The Kaimur SP immediately suspended the three cops and ordered for departmental proceedings against them.
Manufacture, sale and consumption of liquor is banned in Bihar since the imposition of prohibition law in April 2016.
