5 Cyber Frauds Arrested from Bhadrak by Mumbai Police

Bhadrak: Five persons involved in cyber fraud activity were arrested by Mumbai Police from Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Sunday for allegedly duping a retired person of Rs 35 lakh. According to reports, the victim Moses Vincent from Bandra area in Mumbai had lodged a complaint that he was cheated of Rs 35 lakh by fraudulent means a few months back.

Investigation by Mumbai police traced out the criminals in Odisha. A five-member team of Mumbai police arrived in Bhadrak on Saturday and with the help of local police, the team tracked the movement of the accused persons and obtained permission from the SDJM Court, Bhadrak for their arrest.

The five fraudsters were arrested from different places of Bhadrak town on Sunday.

The arrested persons are Pramod Kumar alias Rabindra Behera of Charampa, Rakesh Kumar alias Hariram Choudhury of Kuans, Subhendu alias Nirakar Das of Baralpokhari, Jaydeep alias Amar Kumar Parida of Basahapur and Manoj Kumar alias Anadi Charan Rout of Mauda Balipatna.

They will be taken to Mumbai on Monday for further investigation.
